No. WHat year do you have? On a D1, it is the little trumpet thing that sticks out from the square air box. Not sure what the D2 set up is...

RE: Performance Air Intake
Would a snorkle work for your application? It'll ram cold air right down the gullet. I have one, though as far as I know it's never been used for under water application. It's good for keeping the dust out of the intake and works wonders as a bug catcher.
Just a thought :-)

RE: Performance Air Intake
I think a snorkel would be the opposite of what he's trying to accomplish. Snorkels decrease hp by adding a longer path for the air to flow before hitting the throttle body, which is why they're only added for offroading situations, not for preformance purposes.
Now if you were to add a functional hood scoop, and set up a ram air intake, that would slam some cold air in

RE: Performance Air Intake
That's what my original thought was about the snorkel, that it increased the lenght of the path inducing more turbulance and drag on the intake. Manufacturer claims it actually increases intake flow. I bought my disco with the snorkel firmly attached so I have no before/ after experience with it's performance.
Doesn't seem to slow mine down though.
