Well it is not 100% effective.. This morning I saw an oil spot. Looks like oil is dripping from the bottom side of the engine close to the back where the starter is. Valve Cover gaskets do not look like the culprit. Maybe oil pan gasket. When I get some time I will change the oil pan gasket.

What is happening is that drips on the front driveshaft and then the oil goes where it wants to go!!

WOW! a lot of work there. Now you have to remove more stuff when you replace the gasket. I like it, it looks very clean. Soon you will add more pan under the bottom of those pan when it gets filled.

I would like to add oil absorbent pad on the pan and add a screen mesh to hold it down.
Cheers

If you really are into getting your Rover to not drip, use Indian head gasket shellac

I believe they will start dripping...once you drive it...and the wind blows the oil out of the tray...or when they become full.

Yep, I was planning to service the pans every oil change. It does not leak a lot. But drips on the driveway is annoying.

Right now I have a drip that the pan cannot catch. I don't know if it is a rear main and is leaking off to the side. I have a drip that forms right over the front driveshaft. Right next to the starter. I shined my flashlight up and it does not look like anything from up top is dripping down.

I will take a picture and post the pesky drip.

I've had that leak 2 times, both turned out to be external head gasket leaks. I hope you get lucky and it's easy like an intake manifold valley gasket, or the rear end seal (ERR7283). Just let it be something simple. Good Luck!
