i thought that was factory ? But ya it’s gotta go it is a pain to get your fingers in there to open

Look at a photo of any other D2. It may be a Land Rover part (unlikely, since it doesn't say LR or Discovery on it anywhere, and covers the lettering on the front of the bonnet), but it's not stock.

It's the factory Land Rover A frame brushbar, part #STC53174
They made 2 types in 2003/2004, the polyurethane (foam), and a metal (with rubber). Both came in full wrap around & a frame like this one

good to know thanks I thought they were factory. Still coming off

inline thermostat
pcv mod
oil change
grill and roof rack off
And a good clean

first order of business.

Got it home yesterday the basics start
Inline thermostat
coolant flush
oil change
cutting those long screws on the rad
good clean inside

I don't know if the aluminum coolant reservoir is a red flag, or a confidence builder! Fine line on that one, particularly since you reported temps into the 220's.

A new radiator and fan clutch are in order.

220-226 that’s oem for you
now with the inline it’s 180-195

Did the pcv mod today. The oem oil seperator tube was super clean no oil sludge nothing.
I was impressed
