Question Ping after ATF flush?

Hey guys!
Did the ATF flush tonight on the 2001 with 67K and filled her up with Valvoline 10-40, K&N 3001. Drove around the block and pulled into the driveway. I got out while the engine was still running and noticed a pinging sound coming from the engine bay. Could the flush have caused that? If so, what do you think it may be and what to do about it? Have not done the induction yet, maybe tomorrow. Wires and plugs over the weekend. No codes by the way....

Thanks!!

I doubt an ATF flush caused the noise.
Open the hood, find the location of the noise and better describe this noise so we can help you.

Well, started her up this morning and could not hear it. Maybe it only happens when warm, so tonight after the induction cleaning I will listen again and try to describe better. Last night I could only hear it when listening from the front left wheel. As soon as I stuck my head under the hood the noise of the fan was too loud to distinguish anything else... I will get back to you tonight. Thanks Mike!

why didn't you do your induction before changing the oil? How long are you going to run the new oil before changing it?

Doesn't really matter which is done first especially when a second oil change will probably be needed again up around 1500 miles to get rid of the last of the old build up.

Yes, I will do another oil change after about 500 miles. I will be going to Mexico and want to do the second change before that trip.

Well, good news I guess... I can't hear the pinging sound anymore. I did the induction, throttle body (wow, it was dirty!) and drove around with my hind asset on fire. The tank was almost empty, so after it was done smoking I stopped at a Shell station, poored in the second bottle of Seafoam and filled her up with V-Power 91. Once home the engine was nice and warm and I tried to listen for the sound... Nothing! Let's hope it stays that way! If I have time tomorrow, I will be doing the plugs and wires. Mags 8mm en Bosch Platinum 4+.
