I'm in the same boat as you guys. My right button is broken. However, the metal plate inside the button as well as the spring inside are both missing as well. I just can't justify paying someone $50 minimum to be able to use both thumbs. I guess eventually I'll fabricate something, or find one at a junkyard, or just be content with what I have. It would be nice if someone here has tried to fabricate the metal plate that sits inside the button, and how they did it.

even with the metal plate its useless. its the clip on the horn button that holds it all together. the reason the button came off was the clip broke. unless you start fabricating plastic its useless.

I replaced the buttons using the kit from the dealer had to girlfriend drives the truck...the buttons were worn out for sure thanks for the info hilltopper it did take a lot longer....make sure you disconnect the battery before ever messing with the srs system ....
