Has he mentioned what he would charge to do a D2? I'll obviously not be driving to VT for a plasti job, but it could help give me an idea of what I'm looking at if I ever decide to give it a try.

Not sure what he'd charge the public, probably $6-800 depending on color(more for white, ay less for black)

You can use an ordinary electric Wagner type sprayer. Search YouTube for dipyourcar.com. Some guy name Fonzie owns the company and demos spraying with the electric sprayer.

As I've been looking into this recently also, if you buy the whole car kit from dipyourcar.com they will include an electric sprayer and show you how to apply the paint with their YouTube videos. They seem to be really good about showing you the product and how to use it. There are a ton of videos on YouTube to watch.

Guy in Syracuse, NY at "Syracuse Dips" charges $650 for an suv, $500 for a sedan

I just finished Plasti-Dipping my entire D2 in camo green. I had bad peeling clear coat issues everywhere so decided to give it a shot. The whole truck cost $120 to do (12 camo green cans for $72, plus surface prep cleaner, painters tape, misc masking materials). This was better financially than a $2200 vinyl wrap job or $2900 paint job which were quotes that I got before going with PDip.

I had to use rattle cans to do it since PlastiDip gallons are illegal and not available for purchase here in CA but I'm happy with how it turned out considering this is my first time plasti dipping anything lol

It does look good. Is it a 20 footer? My only concerns are durability, washability and removability after a decent length of time.

Another product to look at is U-Pol raptor paint.

My old shop was down the street from a Land Cruiser restoration business, and they swore by that stuff.

It's tintable, and kind of a Hybrid between paint and bedliner. It can take a serious beating before showing wear.
