When did he replace his fuel filter?

How would the VSS cause his idle to go to 1300 RPM? He needs to answer questions and get his old TPS back in.

I never said his VSS would cause his high idle, just the cutting out and loosing power when under power, like climbing a hill.

He did not say that he raplaced his fuel filter and you are right he should def do that next, he can get the filter at Wal-Mart for $12, I just replaced mine a week ago and thats where I got mine.

When he switched his TPS he "tweaked" it in its position and set the base idle to high, all he needs to do is turn it back down.
When I first got my truck I was cleaning the throttle body and accidently removed my TPS, put it right back and the idle was at 3600 rpm, had to slowly adjust the TPS back to a normal idle, I didnt change anything, all I did was pull it out and then put it right back and I did not unplug it either but the idle was still way high.

I am not going to argue with you, this is a public forum and we are all just throwing out ideas and knowledge and educated and non educated guess', anybody who uses a public forum knows to take everything with a grain of salt and decide what they want to do.
