Please help- ABS, TC and HDC lights coming on at same time??
New Member; I have a 2003 Disco with 36,000mile,For some reason the ABS light and the Traction control light and the downhill descent light will come on and not go off after initial crank. What is going on here? Is this serious and is it somethingCould this be thefront wheel speed sensor failures ora shuttle valve failure? Has anyone had this problem fixed, if so what part were replaced and how much $$ (US) did it run.
Thanks all.
Mark
Thanks all.

Have you had the codes read? Have them read by an independant shop and reset. Might not come back, if it does, the codes will tell you what is wrong. Also, have you had any brake work done, and how much pad do you have left?
This is a common problem with D2's. search the 3 amigo's on here and you will see....

Okdiscoguy, thanks for the post, I had the code read by a LR dealer. They didn't seam to know 100% if it was the shuttle valve sticking but thought they could just replace that the problem would be solved, They want $800 parts $400 labor? $1200 total? I just wanted to get a few more educated opions before I have the work done. Thanks
That's a tough one. I'm not sure why the LR dealer would say they aren't sure, it's a very different issue when talking about shuttle valve vs. wheel sensors. I personally had a shuttle valve failure and the ABS module was replaced under warranty - no problems since. As far as shuttle valve replacement, if they're gonna do it right I think replacing the module vs. shuttle valve kit is the way to go, b/c I've heard about problems w/ this. I'm not an expert on these braking systems, but have also learned that burnt brake fluid can be a culprit many times. Before throwing a bunch of $$ into it, I would flush and change out the brake fluid, have codes cleared and see what happens. If it happens again, have codes read again and go from there. This is assuming it's not under warranty. If it is, just push them to replace the ABS module.
