SOMETHING REALLY ANNOYING IS HAPPENING NOW TO MY 98 DISCO.FOR NO APPARENT REASON THE DEMONIC HOOD POPS OPEN AT WILL.I HAVE TO STOP TO CLOSE IT SOMETIMES ON THE FREEWAY,VERY NERVE WRECKING.HOPE YOU CAN HELP AS ALWAYS.THANKS

 

Sounds like you need to adjust the hood latch, also clean and lube it.

 

THANKS MIKE.BUT HOW EXACTLY IS IT ADJUSTED?

 

I'm in the same sitch, just like to have a diagram to go by. Rave sometimes misses with smaller things I notice.
Question though, will the hood come right up past the secondary release lever? And if so at aprox. what speed? Mine popped at 80kph & scared me when it wobbled side to side with the wicked cross wind the other day.
