Default Positive battery leads.. need help selecting parts

Want to convert to the milspec terminals and a new alternator to battery wire.

what gauge wire do I need and would this work?

I use military terminals...but I make all wiring. I am a huge fan of shrink tubing and solder.

Works much better.

Some 2awg(I think was the proper conversion) welding cable did the job fine for me.

so the 2 dual positive cables are 2awg each? i also have had so many mixed up answers Im just not sure... i saw 8 gauge and now 2awg... i also need replace my ends but not for 100 bucks as I see charged on some sites.. i like the military stle setup and have found compression eyelet terminals i want to use but not sure what gauge the 2 reds are... 2awg im hoping!???

It's definitely not 8AWG. Just go with 2AWG and solder or crimp yourself.
BTW... I went with 0AWG cable with 0AWG terminals and Mil spec battery connectors.
