Is it possible to replace just the ball joints on the tie rod bar?

Just curious if there is a ball joint for the tie rod bar?

do you mean replace the tie rod on the end of your drag link?

Yeah, but instead of the whole bar can you just replace the ball joint?

if you look at the picture above you can see that one end (with the threads) can be replaced and one can not. If you do need to replace the track rod/ drag link because it is the end that can not be replaced? most of the after market rod have replaceable tie rods on both ends.

If you are referring to the actual tie rod, only the short end can be replaced, if the long end is bad you must replace the entire long end. As for the drag link, yes either end can be replaced.

Now Im getting confused again because afew other members said you can replace both tie rod ends without the need of replacing the entire rod. Which is it guys? Not that it matters to much for me because I already ordered a new kit, but it would be useful info. Would be nice if everyone on here could agree on something to lol.

It all depends on the tie rod and track rod you have, some had replaceable ends, others did not.
Here is the parts diagram, it lists both kinds.

Looks like Im going to need front and rear rods then plus ball joints.
