Talking Money saving track rod kit

Reflecting on a previous thread regarding the BrittPart heavy duty track rod kit I ordered. Im pleased to learn that the kit comes with new upgraded boots and apparently the new rods are designed in such a way that for future reference you DO NOT NEED to replace the entire track rods when the tie rod ends go bad! Just screw off the ends and fit new ones on and your ready to go. Also the rep told me that this kit takes Disco 1 tie rod ends, not Disco 2 tie rod ends. Kinda weird but as long as they perform well and save me some $$$ then Im happy.

Has anybody else here used the BrittPart track rod kit? How do they hold up? I'm still waiting for mine to come in the mail, should be here by Thursday and my cousin and I will install them so I can avoid the labor fees. Thereafter I just have to pay for an alignment.

Again here is the part in case anybody is interested: DA5509 Disco II HD Steering Rods W/Tie Rod Ends

I believe on a stock DII the factory drag link has one end that can not be replaced, on good aftermarket replacements both end are fitted with replicable tie rod ends. .

I find that hard to believe, I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying I need to investigate some more.
So far all the pics I've found say replaceable on both ends.
But I could be wrong.

Well I failed to do the research on this matter. When I brought the Disco to JiffyLube for the inspection they told me both tie rods were bad, then he pointed to one of them and said the entire rod was connected to the tie rod and thus had to be replaced all together. So I looked around and decided it was a good excuse to upgrade to the HD kit I just ordered. But in the future Ill be sure to do more research before I take the word of a "lube technician" lol. Either way least now I know I can replace both tie rod ends with the new kit so thats one less thing to worry about. If all goes well Ill be installing the kit this weekend with a buddy so cant wait.

ROD & FIXED BALL JOINT DISCOVERY II TRACK ROD, RNH074, QFS000040 - Land Rover Parts | Rovers North

This what the factory rod looks like with a fixed joint, as I said most of the replacements are built to have removable ends.
