Possible window regulator fix

Possible window regulator fix
Recently my driverside window regulator has gone off its tracks due to the breaking of the white plastic rollers.
I did a search of this forum and I was glad to find plenty of posts concerning this common issue. In one of these posts I found a link and sa something that just might work... Its actually made for a Range Rover 4.0/4.6.
I am optimistic that it may also fit on our, Disco II, window regulators as well.

But before I wasted time waiting for the parts to be delivered I thought I would see if anybody else has tried this fix. Its hard to tell the ACTUAL size of the clip and if it will fit perfectly on our window regulators or if it may need to be altered just a bit to fit.
Some feedback from anybody that has tried or thinks it will or not work would be great.
Thanks,
Mike D

RE: Possible window regulator fix
That might work if you're good with a dremel.... or you can try what i did.

Good Luck and let us know if those clips work.

RE: Possible window regulator fix
BMF I went to home depot and bought some nylon washers roughly the same size as the white rollers, if I remember correctly I used three stacked up to make a .."roller" out of them, I heated the center of the washers with a lighter and pushed each one over the post on the regulator and to this day it still works. Cost me 1.62 for both rear windows. I got the idea from www.discoweb.org in the tech section, it works!
Good luck

This is an old thread, but I am gonna try a fix I have used with great results in the past. I am going to Home Depot and buying some shower door rollers. They can trimmed down to fit the track and are already flush on side, with a bolt to attach to the arm on the other.
Any reason that wouldn't work on a Disco?
