Is window regulator repair possible?
Has anyone found a way to replace the plastic wheels on the Disco 2 window regulators? I rolled the driver's window up yesterday and got the dreaded loud bang when it reached the top. Took it apart this morning and found that one of the rollers on the regulator that run in the track on the glass rail was in two pieces. Would be nice not to have to replace the whole thing.

I have the regulators for about $90 --new. It is a common failure item, and can be replaced in about 30-40 minutes.

Amigos,
I just ran into the same problem with the window regulator, and I've been reading as much as possible about this problem.
The one thing I don't get is my Discovery is 2001 with 43K Miles, and these cars are supposed to be tough, built rugged, strong, yata yata yata.....Furthermore, There's a problem with the Rear Left Door getting stuck, then the Rear Door doesn't unlock, I have to unlock it from inside, Window Regulator/Motor on the Front Right seems to be weakening.
What is going on. They seem to be anything but solid.
My Toyota Sequoia (2001 as well) 50K miles, works like a charm.
Can one buy, I don't know, industrial quality, Heavy Duty parts for these vehicles so that we, the owners, can actually brag about something well made?
I'm not complaining, I simply thought that I got unlucky, but after reading all these posts, the problem is general.
Appreciate your comments.

You bought a Rover with all it's flaws, welcome to the club. The only two things that are guaranteed about Rovers is they leak and they are super off the road, past that stop comparing it to another vehicle and working on fixing your truck. Don't want to see you get some bad Rover Karma.
By the way, Toyota doens't make parts for Rovers, but Rovers will be glad to pull a Toyota out of the snow.

RE: Is window regulator repair possible?
Rover Connection has backordered my order for a factory window regulator. They have an aftermarket unit in stock. Anyone have any experience with the aftermarket ones? Not bad mouthing Rover, but can they really break any faster than the factory units? I'm getting tired of having to open my door at toll booths, I need to either cancel and order a factory one from someone else, or substitute the aftermarket unit.
