So I am going from a Disco 1 to possibly a Disco II today, she's clean, car fax is spotless, mileage is 139k, body is straight, no dents or rust, interior could use a good cleaning and detail. Is there anything that I should be looking for that will be a deal breaker? Thanks in advance.

 

You have owned one Disco, don't be foolish and buy another without having a shop do a pre-purchase inspection or you will buy some surprises.

You need to expect to be replacing some parts as soon as you take possession of the vehicle.
Referring to:
Drive shaft if not done,
Shocks & springs,
Be ready to service the cooling system asap
New t-stat,
Upper radiator hose if the old style,
Flush and coolant change,
Ordering a ultra gauge if you don't have one,
Make sure all lights on dash light up when you turn the key butt heads like to poke them out,


You know the things to check for don't doubt yourself and don't get to excited to negotiate a good deal as you will want and need to replace a few parts right away for piece of mind.
