Default Power Steering Leak

Noticed my driver wheel well was wet with some fluid (can't tell which fluid) and from what I can determine I traced it back to the PS [ump area. The pump isn't making any abnormal noises and it looks like the suction line might be the culprit, is this hose prone to fail? or hoses? Or are the PS pumps themselves known to leak or go bad? 04 with 75k

Hello, are you new to Rovers? LOL
Replace the power steering hose clamps and then add some power steering stop leak.
Just top off with the stop leak dont use the whole bottle.
They all leak straight from the factory, it is the rust proofing.

Lol......I guess that did sound kind of funny, I guess I should of said New or more than usual leak....

The suction hose looked like it had a pressed fitting coming from the pump side, they didn't look like clamps??

Well I was going to try the Lucas and stop leak route but looks like it"s leaking really good now, got a good size puddle now just from a couple of hours here at work. Going to start with the low pressure hose because I think it's coming from there, but is there a gasket that is prone to leak on the pump?

The whole pump is prone to leaking.

You can snug up fittings and the like on the steering box, but your best bet is to replace the hoses and then add stop leak if it still leaks.
