Default Prblem...Need you help please

Hello all,

The last couple of days have notice that my 1997 Disco 1 is acting up. Tow things happened.

1- It started when I drove about 30 to 50 minutes It's been dropping water from the reservoir after stop the car and off the engine, I ran it in my driveway to see if there were any leaks, and no leaks, temperature gauge will normal even it's below the 1/2, new water pump, driving at normal speeds. No indication the engine is overheating though. No engine noise. The engine seems to be running just fine.

2- It's an Automatic transmission, will change to the second gear only when it's worm engine and force it up to 80 KM speed and the every thing go normal, even if I stop for one hour, and drive after that it's ok. But if I keep the cat for long and then drive same thing back.

Has anyone had this problem or can help me out? > any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Is this a diesel? Not sure what you mean by dropping water out of the reservoir... If you are loosing coolant, you have a leak somewhere. Take it to a shop and have it pressure tested. Check your oil to make sure it doesn't look milky.

It's not a diesel it's a V8 petrol 3.9, and what I meant by dropping water is, after driving for about 25 to 30 KM even in normal speed, after stopping you will see the coolant out from the reservoir (the filing tank) even the Temp of the cat is not high below the 1/2. And for the oil is ok not a milky.

You havea leak somewhere. Take it to a radiator shop and have them pressure test it. They can find the leak....

Is the "water" clear or colored? Does it smell like coolant or just regular water?
I wonder if it's condensation from your a/c?
Sometimes using the defroster automatically turns on the a/c, thus the condensation.
If you're certain that it is coolant coming out of your reservoir, get your radiator 'rodded' - you may have blockage.
