First, as much of a believer as I am in the BG Stop Leak, it won't work on a rotted freeze plug. Find a shop that can just remove and replace it.
Then when going back together switch away from Dexcool, replace the t/stat and coolant pressure cap and add some Sooper Cool, Water Wetter or Purple Ice to the system

How Long should it take a shop to remove and replace it ?
Do you think landrover would do it ?

The mechanic said he looked online and found what you've been saying . Undo the mounts and lower enough to pull it out .
He said he would estimate it at a 500 dollar job but didn't know for sure since its not in the manufacture practices .

They need to make some sort of leverage tool that works for pulling the back ones out without dropping it.

Landrover doing the job was a semi joke. They are rip offs.

of course it's going to be harder, but as you can clearly see it is not rocket science

So I went to multiple land rover shops today and none of them thought that lowering the engine would work due to the tranny being connected and the exhaust being connected.
They all feared it would break something if not disconnected.
Also to get enough room away from the firewall I don't even see how one could lower it down enough without hitting the axle.

Have any of you ever done this or is this hypothetical?

This sucks so hard. The car runs excellent. Every damn thing works and a part that costs 5 bucks is leaking , and its next to impossible to get to it.
Aggghhhhhh!!!

I know discomike says it won't work but would it hurt to maybe just try the BG sealant? Just maybe.....maybe.....

Yeah, but do you have to be a ramblin man?

I may just go pour beer all over the engine.
