Default Price check, 2004 Discovery SE

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum.

I am looking at a 2004, DiscoverySE, 40K miles. Dealer is asking 20900 with 6/75 CPO until 9/2010. I have not seen it yet itin person, but the dealer says is is well cared for. He said only option was cold climate, and no 3rd row.

Is this a fair price? 20900

Thanks in advance.

That seems like a pretty decent starting point from a dealer.

I think most will agree that the 04's are the best Discos ever made.

From all of my searches it looks like the 2004 is a good year.

How low do you think I can get the dealer? 19000-19500. I have seen 04 for cheaper, but I really want the CPO warranty.

With a good extended warranty, the price is fair cause that policy could run as much as $3000 plus.
Find out who's policys they would use and get a copy of it.

Disco

The dealer said that the warranty is through LR. They said it was an "official" LR certified preowned vehicle.

I bought my '04 Disco w/ 42k miles for almost $7k less than that dealer is asking.

I am not saying his price isn't "worth" it, but I'd keep shopping around, or at least talk the guy down some.

F' the aftermarket warranty, unless it is a real LR one.

The have been very happy with the LR Certified Warranty. Ive had a ton a crap replaced, and no problems.

Keep in mind....

Check all bolts/ screws on body panels to see if they have been turned by a wrench. If so good chance its been in an accient (reported or unreported)

"unless it's the LR CPO".

I am speaking of aftermarket ones. They allpretty much suck. Big waste of cash.
