Default Probably A Stupid Question..........

Parked the Disco last night, no problems. Got in it today, and it won't turn over. I'm just getting a couple of clicks, and the interior lights go dim when I turn the key. Battery?

I agree with Ralph. Terminals then battery. I just faced the same problem. I cleaned the terminals and thought it was fixed as It did start for 2 days but then this morning it was 0 outside and all I got was clicking. I replaced my battery this AM. It was the battery even though it was not that old.

Thanks guys. I figured that was probably the case, but BECAUSE it is a Rover, I thought I better ask. I love my truck![sm=headbang.gif]

Ok, cleaned terminals. No luck. Installed new battery and post clamps. Nothing. When I turn the key, all the dash lights come on like normal, interior lights work. Thoughts?

Bad starter.
Tap the starter with a hammer then see if it will turn over.

Tap, tap, bingo. It's the starter. I always forget about the hammer trick. Oh well, a new battery won't hurt. Thanks Spike.

Oh yeah, how much cursing and bleeding will I experience if I do the install myself. I would call myself reasonably mechanically inclined.

So I fired up my rig this morning after replacing the battery, and the temperature display on the A/C has apparently switched to Celcius. Not that big of a deal, but anyone know how to reset it to Farenheit?
