I'm gonna be busy, but you should come here and get my engine started. So you can get some first hand knowledge of the cannibal

Do you have a scan tool than can read live data? If so, are you getting any RPM while cranking? If not, I'd suspect something crank sensor related.... the senor, the harness, the fuse box, something.

Or does the tach move? (I don't have a D2 any more, so I don't recall if the tach works while cranking or not)

The tach doesn't move, I don't know if it normally does or not since I've never driven in. I replaced the crank sensor with the one that was on the old engine. Still no spark. We swapped any fuse or relay that was in my buddies running disco in mine to see if that helped and still nothing. He has a scan tool that we plugged in and no fault codes were found.

I Think I've figured out the problem and maybe somebody can confirm this. But I was under the impress that the spacers were built into the crank shaft sensor. I forsure did not install them on either one I placed on the engine. Would not installong them cause this kind of issue?

Don't the spacers go between the sensor and the sensor shield? Were the spacers left out, how did you get the shield to fit on?

They do and yes lost or misplaced during the months it sat in the garage. It was a bitch but it fit on there. I don't know how these spacers could make it not fire but I honestly have no idea at this point and I'm checking everything.

well I have never put one on wrong but it seems odd to me that they can cause an issue, as well. I would think that they would only be an issue if they were spacing the sensor back.......but I see lots of people claim that incorrect install causes issues..
