Default problems with the 94

i recently bought a 94 discovery with 130k miles. i replace the wires, distributor cap, plugs and coil but 3k miles after i bought it the rover broke down in the middle of rush hour traffic and i had to have it towed 40 miles back to my house. it turns over but i am getting no spark. any suggestions would be extremely helpfull. i dont even have the maintenance/repair book for it yet.

also when it was running i had a ticking noise and had no clue what it was. the brake light was on as well and the service engine light when i bought it. this is my first rover and any suggestions would be helpful thank you.

When replacing a rotor in an old Rover distributor, it is possible to damage the shaft. I would suggest you have some one, who is familiar with this, look at it and make the necessary repairs.

You can get a kit so you relocate the ignition module its the heat that can kill them.

Its heat, I had a 1986 Chevy that ate those ignition modules for lunch.

I can't remember where I saw the kit.
It takes and relocates it to the fire wall.
