Default Problems disconnecting battery for extended period?

Are there any issues with leaving the battery on my 2003 DII disconnected for a couple of days?

Long story, don't ask, but I can't get to my vehicle until Monday.

Thank you!!!

Was at the gym this afternoon and somebody lifted my keys while I was in the shower. My fault, should have re-locked the locker I know...

Wife is out of town with the spare key in her purse. Nice!

So I can't get a new key until Monday.

Gym is 24hrs and the car park is patrolled & well lit. I emptied the Disco out, but with no key I can't lock it. As an extra precautionary measure I disconnected the battery, only now I'm wondering..

You will be fine. There is an internal battery that lasts a long time and your radio should not reset.

Yeah a few days maybe a week, longer than that and you are looking at potential alarm problems.

DUDE that sucks! That happened to a buddy of mine and he caught the guy while he was climbing into the driver's seat!

Why do some people have to SUCK so much and make life a pain in the a$$ for the rest of us? I hope you let the gym know to keep an extra eye on anyone (other than you) trying to come back and drive it off.

Thanks all - Your help & assistance is much appreciated.

Stealership told me they can cut me a key Monday so long as I have ID & proof of ownership.

Just $14 for a non-radio key. Very reasonable I thought.

Of course it would happen on a Saturday afternoon, just late enough for me to not have enough time to make it to the dealer there before they close. grrrrr.....

On a D2, there is a problem, short term but none the less a problem with this. Your ECU, mainly the engine, tranny as well as your adaptive memory will be lost which will take a number of days drive time to relearn. Also, depending on the condition of the battery in the radio, you may still need to re-code it.
