Programmers for D2 for tire size/gear reprogramming?
Does anyone make any programmers for D2's to change the gear and tire size settings so the guages/mile ticker won't be off? Or anyone know of a flash service I can send the ECU to have this done?
As far as I know, there isn't anyway to reprogram the SLABS computer to adjust the tire size. At least one or two people have used a box like this: TruSpeed™ Speed Sensor Recalibrator · Superlift · www.superlift.com at the speed output from the SLABS to adjust.
I have 285/75/16's on now, but i'm also lookin at as the next and probably last major mod 4.11 lockers as well... but i wont be swapping back and fourth to standard tires, and ive documented all my miles and work for the next owner should there be one, just curious though if i could just plug n play an obd2 product somewhere to correct for it if i keep this long term.

I have often wondered this, how do you guys with larger tires adjust for MPG and total miles driven?
So if you are running oversized tires and you calculate your miles are you also doing the math to bring your numbers to the proper MPG?

But how about service intervals?
Since your speedo is off that means your odometer is off so that means your service intervals are off.
Do you compensate for that or no? Is it not enough to worry about?

Going from the stock 29" to a 33" is only a speedo error of about 10% I don't worry about it as far as maintenance goes.
