Three Wheeling
How about RED LINE synthetic Power Steering fluid with the 1/2 bottle of Lucas Power Steering Fluid? You mentioned Royal Purple, do you mean Royal Purple Max EZ Power Steering Fluid? Do you know of an online vendor that sells both items?

Why ruin a perfectly good synthetic fluid with garbage like lucas?
Summit racing is a good place for that kind of stuff. I think you can order Redline and Amsoil directly from their websites.

http://www.landroverresource.com/docs/D2_03-04.pdf has the service intervals, but as you can see those are not speced for the two fluids mentioned. The ACE filter is listed at a high miles. Perhaps they feel enough fluid will be lost by leaks that no listing is needed. 30,000 miles seems like a good figure, look at all the other things listed for 30000 that are frequently ignored.... BTW Mike says 15K - 20K, which is probably an even better idea. The average used Disco has original brake fluid, transmission fluid, diff and transfer case have never been touched, and engine oil every 25,000 whether it needed it or not. Coolant has only been changed by replacement of quantity leaked out or burned off. People will spend more money on the cell phone minutes used in the truck than basic maintenance items.

On those two systems, I alway recommend a 15,000 mile interval for fluid changes if you wheel a lot or 20,000 for normal driving. My reasoning is that we have to many P/S issues so it is better to do more frequent fluid changes. As for the ACE, that fluid burns real fast and as it does, your ACE looses it's ability to maintain the stability of your truck.
How are you planning on servicing both of these?

Guys,
I'm new here, writing from distant Brazil.
D2s are not very common here (LR became a major player since 2007 (LR3 & Freelanders). Most D2s are HSE7 with ACE and SLS TD5/V8.
I got a D2 2003 ACE SLS HSE7 last year at 69.000km and as Savanna Buzz said the former only owner did not really care. That is costing me money. We are now at 94.000km. About 22.000km/year.
She's a everyday truck and once a month an offroad trip (no hard core).
I just replaced the air bags with Mike's suggested Arnott. Turbo-charger has been revamped last December. So, I am getting her in shape.
All fluid changes with fluids specified in manual. Engine every 5.000km. Automatic gearbox and diffs were changed last week, as well as ACE.
PAS is next.
Thanks for all support through forum since I bought it. Comments are always welcome.
By the way. I need the RBX101740 for the front torsion bar. Prices are quite different from different manufacturers (checked in UK). Any suggestion?

I'm in southeast Brazil, in Belo Horizonte, a large mining area.
Temperatures renge from 10C to 30C.
I had already checked LR Direct and the price range scared me. That's why I asked for opinion. LR and Bearmach are in Brazil (but prices are closer than @ LRDirect). Do you have any reference regarding quality for the cheaper Bearmach?

Drifting
I have a 2004 DII and I will like to add steering fluid due to being below the min mark, besides the original stuff, what specific brand and type of power steering fluids can I use.
Thanks,
