Default QUESTION ABOUT MAGNACORS

Hello guys

My 2004 disco had aparently bad coils .SoI sent for the coils and 8mmmagnacor wires; intake gasket as well. The mechanic says that the magnacors are shorter than the original wires and that they are tight in fit .Is this normal or should they fit just like the factory ones.He also mentioned that the coil bracket was somewhat diferent and that this made it difficult for theintake manifold to be put back so he had to leave the bottom screws loose in order to have the movment to put the intake on .Is this correct or is he cluelesson what he is doing.Thank you.

I don't know about the bracket you mentioned but the wires should definitely be a tighter fit than the stock 7mm.

70 bucks can get you universal fit 8mm Msd wires, all you have to do is cut to length and crimp on the end. Not sure anyone else has tried this but i did it 30k ago and havent a mifire yet. they come in at like 4ft each, with the bend to your liking plug ends.

Usually only one wire is a little tight but work with it, don't stretch it and they will fit.
They will out last any other wire I have seen on a Rover so far.
Why are you replacing the coils?
