Question about Rust.
People talk about rust problems with Land Rover trucks. Now I understand frame rust, etc.,,,,but I thought Disco's used a great deal of Aluminum in the body panel construction? Am I wrong? Just what is aluminum on these trucks?
On Disco 2s body, only the side doors f(rt and rear)and roof are metal. But the restis aluminum outer welded on metal inner. Often the rust will start on the joints, where the aluminum meets the metal. Frames are critical. There's a few people with gashing holes in the frame and LR won't do anything about it.

My body hasalmost norust, even though it spent most of it's life in Vermont, most likely covered in salt. But the frame has some nasty rust, it comes off in flakes. I was pretty surprised to see that when I bought it.I've used Rust Bullet before, I think I'll be giving POR-15 a shot this summer when I have time.
Por 15 ??? I'll have to look into that. My vehicle has been rust treated every year since new, so no rust at all underneath, but do you think
por15 would stick to treated metal ???
