Default Question on a temporary fix to the coolant tank

I’ve got a pin hole size leak on the side of my coolant expansion tank. And thanksgiving is coming, which means a drive to the cottage.
I don’t think I’ll be able to get a new one shipped in time.
I’m contemplating having at the existing tank with some epoxy.
Anyone tried this? Any advice?
No idea what the odds of this working are, but in my mind it makes sense.
Thanks!

Can you drill it out and put a screw in it instead?

I've used self tapping roofing screws with a gasket on them in a pinch.

I had it work for a week on a Jeep Cherokee pressurized tank - it was stiil on, but it took that long to get a replacement. Take the time to scuff lightly and clean with alcohol (or similar substance, if your drink is low ). I've also used a piece of roadside rubber, reinforced with a donor beer/coke can and held in place with wire donated by a nearby fence! And of course, you'll have some replacement fluid if you need to drop to Plan B... Russ

I am not recommending this at all but, I once JB Putty welded a plastic radiator tank together. It lasted for 3 years with only a slow seep. Had to top off every six months or so.

Thanks all.
I've ordered a new one, and taking this as jury rig at will.
I have some of that weird epoxy tape that you get wet and then hardens (some kind of as seen on tv fix all). Maybe it’s time to try that out.
Althoug drill and gasket appeals too.
Should be fun.
