There isn't a rebuild "kit".
I, as well as others, have posted the required Neapco and Precision part numbers many times on this forum.
Depending on where you live (you don't have it listed) Advance Autoparts is a good local place to get them.
Do not get them at Advance Auto.

Because Autozone used to carry the Neapco (boxed as PDQ) 1-0005 u-joints but switch to chinese u-joints but kept the Neapco/PDQ numbers. So they aren't really Neapco u-joints. FWIW, not all PDQ were Neapco make, but the 1-0005 were.
Advance Auto parts is about the cheapest place to get them now. The also carry the Neapco centering kit.
Whatever you get, make sure it has all the parts. Someone reported getting a Precision kit that was missing something.
The red thing in the photo is just a shipping cover for the spring in the center ball.

yeah, but I am planning only on "mild" off roading, so there's no added value to get the "beefier" Tom Woods for me
as you say, $278 for a reman is not worht it either... so it's either get it rebuilt at ToddCo (I'm kinda surprised they don't read on this forum), go to a local shop, or the $310 ebay option...
