Default Quick reminder about code P0455 for internet posterity

Code popped up the other day. Immediately ordered a replacement purge valve because it's cheap and the internet says that's usually the fix. It'll arrive next week.

Went to fill up with gas today... the gas cap wasn't screwed beyond one revolution. Leak found. Code cleared. Hasn't returned.

Moral of the story. Check the easy stuff real quick before buying new parts.

Must be heat related. My stant cap wasn't screwing in like it used to. Got a new one and poof code is gone. $4 on Amazon

I think age gas and heat make them swell over time and not seat properly
