Default R9 Relay missing?

Is this normal for v8? Skimmed through a bunch of docs, and it says its the 'main relay', but, i've had this thing for a few months now and just now realized the relay in R9 is not there for some reason. Everything works, or at least seems to, so im confused. Should it work without R9? Is something not obvious happening? I dont have a relay to put in there to test what happens if I put it back, but, 'main relay' seems like an important name for a thing thats not there currently.

Is it possible that someone bi-passed some essential function, if so, what kind of hacks should I be looking for?

thanks,

The R9 relay should definitely be installed in the engine compartment fuse box. Could it be you are misreading the diagram?

Here's a pic of the engine compartment fuse box in Redrover. From the rear on the right-hand side facing from the front --
  • R14 - ACE - My truck doesn't have ACE.
  • R13 - Horns
  • R10 - ABS
  • R9 - Main
  • R8 - Heated windscreen - My truck doesn't have the heated windscreen.
  • R7 - Auxiliary circuits
  • R6 - Glow plugs - Diesels only
