Radiator Shopping
So I hate how threads just end on here and are never picked back up.
I ended up going with the genesis radiator. I installed a new motorad thermostat and green peak antifreeze when I did the swap this afternoon. I have only put about 10 miles on it so far, and so far it seems to work really well.
I average around 300 miles a week, so in a couple weeks I should know if I should have gone Scottish or if the genesis is ok.

Madlands please follow up. Thanks for the info. I am with Mike though because you do get what you pay for. That $126 is tempting but having to do hed gaskets again would blow. I guess this like drinking and driving some get lucky and others not so much...When I saw that price my eyes popped out!
I will follow up more over time. And I have always been a big believer in getting what you pay for, but after buying chemicals to flush a clogged radiator and then spending $40 on antifreeze and then if you look at it as $50/hr labor for you doing it. In my book you're almost to that $126 genesis at that point, and if the flush doesn't work which it rarely does with these then you buy a quality radiator for +$250.
I don't mean to just babble but the reason I gave the cheap one a try is if it works then great and if not ill treat it like a flush job that didn't work, and I'll buy a pricier radiator.
I drove around town for about 30min tonight just to be forsure before my hr and a half commute to work in the morning. I'm monitoring my temps with a glow shift gauge and I stayed at a constant 196 degrees. The warmest it got was 200 degrees after I let it idle in my driveway for 10min after getting home.

I now see your logic as well. For the price as long as you watch the temp its gold. If yours works out I may drop one in as well. Your not all that far from me Madlands. Not many southern boys drive a Rover lol. We cant fit a rebel flag on the back window!
On the bleeding, I jack up the front, or go up on ramps to elevate the front of the truck and then fill and bleed the system. Goes so much faster that way, and gets most of the air out the first go around.
