Default Radiator Temp Questions

Hello All - Been a while since I've had time to work on my Rover.. Anyways, I've been dealing with an over heating issue with my Rover, and I've done a lot of diagnostics.
Today, I purchased a digital IR thermometer and I used it to measure the temps of the radiator. I am attempting to find "cool" spots on my radiator. The thinking is that the radiator may be clogged.

I measured the temp at several locations on the radiator. At the top of radiator I measured temps raging from 180-210 - Near the center of the radiator I measured temps raging from 150-170 - Near the bottom of the radiator I measured temps raging from 100-120 -

Does any one have any input on this?
Are these normal temps?

Any input is helpful..
Thanks in advance...

Really on the truck that is all that can be achieved. As you know the temperature lessens from top to bottom which in your case seems OK provided the differences laterally are 'reasonable'.

The only other way I know is expensive and requires the radiator removal off the truck. It is then filled with hot water at say 200F and scanned with a thermograph camera for hot/cool spots. Also known as thermography and used on the human body for searching for cancers and diseases. Also good for finding bodies in rubble/war zones. The algorythms for this image differentiation are mind blowing but there are cheaper technologies emerging. I haven't any other ideas.

I also use an IR remote thermometer for various tasks including checking radiator performance.
