After I leave the radio on for an hour...
Is the radio code entered straight in, or do I need to press Mode or some other button first?

 

Just enter it straight in. If the code is correct, the stereo will work immediately after entering the last code numeral.

Put a new battery in today and I am having the same issue. Called and got the code. Entered code and radio flashes but nothing happens. waited an hour tried again with same results..Any tips?

 

Sometimes the code can't be looked up correctly with the VIN number. Remove the radio and make note of the serial number on the tag on the rear. Call the dealer and ask him to look up the code based on the radio's serial number instead of the VIN number.
