Default Radio Removal

Hello,
Is it possible to improvise the key which is required to remove the radio? There are two slots. My cassette is not operational and I utilize an Ipod connector. 2003 Disco 2 130k miles
Thanks,
B well,
Jeff

Use the metal tabs from a hanging file folder.

Thanks guys,

The metal tabs from the file fit but not to be obtuse. Is there a latch which disengages? I hear a click and pull from the cassette deck but no movement. How far does the "key" need to be inserted?
B well,
Jeff

It can be a bit tricky if you've never seen the top of the radio before. As shown in the video above, all you're doing is pressing down on a couple of spring latches. I don't try to pull the unit out using the tabs; I slide them in and pull on the unit using the tape slot instead. Usually have to wiggle it around getting each side free separately.
