Default rattling sun roofs

Im not sure if this is a common problem but due to the nice weather in jersey finally, I have been using my sun roofs and they rattle extremely bad when i go over the smallest bump. is this just how they were designed or can i tighten something to stop this. thanks

I suggest you check the glass screws and nuts because mine were doing that too and one day I realized my screws were completely gone, they are about $20 each (for 1 screw and nut) through roverland parts.

Leave them closed and they wont rattle.

Tighten and replace the missing screws and lube the tracks with white lithium grease.

Also r the sunroofs only suppose to expose half the hole? And is there a way to make the rear windows go all the way down rather than half way? Sorry guys :/

I dont know as I dont use my sunroofs.

No, its the way the door is shaped.

Have you heard of air conditioning? Its pretty cool and it saves you MPG on the highway.

Where the sunroof bracket rides in the track there is a plastic bushing that wears out and disappears. The metal pin the plastic bushing fits on then has alot of play and rattles when you hit bumps. Not an easy fix. The sun roof does not open all the way.

Yah I would spend the money to get the A/C fixed but I also live in the desert, it is going to hit triple digits soon and will stay up there till fall! I found the sunroofs don't really do much in my truck anyways as far as cooling goes. if you do want to get your AC up and running properly I would first check the speed selector switch and the resistor pack.
