Got the MAF and filter in yesterday, the MAF was in a box with the green LR logo and genuine part on the box so I assume it is the correct part. I just got finished installing both items and my disco run and shifts so much better . Will I need to reset to codes to make the SES light go off or will it reset itself.thanks,CW.

Just wanted to let you guys know that the MAF did take care of the problems that I was having and also say thanks for everyones help, if it were not for all of the help in this forum I would defintly not be able to afford one of these awesome vehicles. Craig, I'm glad you got this resolved. I have been having similar issues (lean banks, trouble shifting into overdrive, and a P0420 code) over the last couple of weeks with my D2 and didn't get much help. Then I saw your post, and started following it. I have a new MAF due tomorrow from Will Tillery and then hopefully my rig will have one less problem as well! Congrats!

I went the complete go around on MAF's. Cleaning does not work...period! The independent Rover guy here sold me a aftermarket (I let him), and in the end went and got the correct Bosch MAF and problem finally solved. Just put up the dough and get the correct part and have the piece of mind. The aftermarket ran fine...but the SEL came on after the first drive cycle. Also...just a question "what is your RPM level at 70 MPH?" Mine is dead on 2500 but just sounds like it's working pretty hard. Thanks.
