Default Rear Air Co - Necessary?

Hi!

Looking at buying a TD6 SE but am concerned that the standard air conditioning won't be capable of keeping all 7 occupants comfortable on a hot day (hot as in over 40 deg c/100 deg F).

How good is the standard Air co? Is the optional rear air co necessary for hot climates?

I'd really love to hear from owners about how the Air co copes in a hot climate.

Cheers,
Scott

The AC is good but if the disco is hot from sitting in the sun, the standard (no rear) AC is going to take a while to cool off the rear seats.

Thanks. I guessed it might be a struggle for the front airco to cool the back. Seems I may have to go HSE to get avehichle with rear air in a reasonable timeframe

My black SE 5 passenger has rear air - I'm counting it as necessary for TX summers.

After running trails in Deat Valley, Ca. when it has been 120 degrees plus in the shade I found that my front a/c was more then enough for the two front seats. So the question I have is how often are you going to be playing TAXI driver with 7 people in the truck at 120 degrees plus?
By the way, the rear air does limit head room in the back.
Need to ask your self is it worth it, how often do you carry seven people.

Well, with 4 kids the rearmost row of seats is more often used than not, so its gunna be worth it. Picked up an HSE yesterday so its got the reare air.
