Anyone knows who can do a rear shock conversion south of Denver area? with extreme temperature here shocks are acting out badly.

I'd keep the air bags but just replace them or fix any air hose leaks.

Mine dumped last night due to the cold (-30F here north of C Springs) but filled right up and zero issues. And to be sure, you are talking about the rear air bags and not the shocks, correct?

Personally, I wouldn’t convert it as it is probably just the valves in the pump housing assembly being angry due to the cold. If it stays up after a few days in more normal temps, I wouldn’t bother. If one side is going, I’d be pretty positive it’s an air spring, and those are cheap and easy to fix.

If you are set on getting rid of the bags (again, you shouldn’t), Roadside Werx is the shop to go to in Dumbver. And if you decide to, I’d love to grab your compressor so I can convert my other D2 back to bags since they were removed.

Same with my P38. It stays up for a couple of weeks in warmer weather but sags when it dips below freezing. It was -29C yesterday and didn’t come up for a bit. It did a nice job of getting us to the ski hill and back though.

I really appreciate your feedback. These air bags are less than year old. I am sure you guys are correct about the below freezing, possible valve stuck.
I have little bigger tire and truck can't be moved. I just moved to Co from Texas. I am kinda stuck not having another car here.
Have anyone here converted to spring? what's the downside?
Do we have to deal with this issue every time it's get freezing around here? That would suck.

Thanks again.

I can't compare to air suspension, but if you convert to springs, then you can add air helper springs in order to adjust ride height and load capacitance in the back. It allows me to level the truck when I am fully loaded with family and camping gear.

My air springs are pretty new as well, original Dunlop bags. It sagged when cold from when they were new. I live in the southern interior of British Columbia so we get some fairly cold weather as well. The air suspension is really good but it does take more maintenance than springs. My Disco doesn’t have it, but the self levelling would be nice. Air suspension is really great off road.
