Default Rear Bumper

My new steel rear bumper should be here Monday, looks like a pretty straight forward job to replace it. But any squirrely stuff to lookout for ?

@PalmettoDisco Yes to the backup sensors, they are being dropped and it looks like a single connector to disconnect the sensor harness

A big box arrived today from Paddock Spares ! Rear Heavy Duty Bumper DA5646
Bumper was 346 CDN
Shipping was 296 CDN

Repairing this, dropped off an angled rock. 14 LR's from a 1960's pickup to a built LR4 and only I took damage.

Who was the shipper, and did they charge you another "brokerage fee" when it arrived?

@Harvlr The shipper was DHL express, fees were about 17.00 and there was about 62.00 of taxes and duties. I can live with 17.00 for them to do the customs work

Thanks Richard. Good to know their fees were reasonable.

I bought that same bumper thru Lucky 8. It was scraped up on every corner when it arrived. Had to ask hm to file damage claim with UPS. Still waiting on my refund.
BTW, the bumper didn't fit properly Top corners on each end cap rubbed against the corner trim above the old bumper. It took quite a bit of shimming to get it decent.
It'll never fit like the old plastic did.

@Davis31052 I suspect I may have a few issues on the right side if the inner support was hit. Most of the fit issues I have read have to do with the center support and getting that lined up right.

Sounds like you got a bumper in rough shape. Mine would have taken a courier significant effort to damage it was very well packed.
I will be adding more to this as I fit the bumper on the weekend, we are supposed to have a dryish day Saturday

Richard, good news that you got the new bumper shipped fairly quickly. Let me know if you need an extra set of hands with the install. I am available on Sat if you need help.
