Default Rear Cargo Door leaking at top of door

For some reason my rear cargo door is leaking at the top of the door. I'm going to check the body sealant per the 1/17/03 tech bulletin.

I've adjusted the door hinges several times to try to get a better weather stripping contact/seal but that hasn't stopped the leaks. Weather stripping seems to be fairly flexible and should be making a full seal.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you.

It happened to me in the past.. I bought a rubber trim strip with adhesive, and mounted it on the top part of the door. All the leaks went away. Let me get a picture for you.

For me the fix was to adjust the striker to pull the cargo door in closer to the body.

All good ideas. Thank you.
What socket is that for the door striker? Not sure that I have anything that looks like that.

I haven’t looked but I’m sure it’s a torx bit

With the door hinge fitting bolts all loosened and the door wide open, I lifted the back end of the door while my assistant retightened the bolts. This sees to have worked.

I installed some 3/8" tubing behind both top weather strips and adjusted the hinges. The door strike isa 40 torx but the bottom screw head is stripped so I couldn't adjust the strike to pull the door closer into the body.
Any ideas on how to loosen the torx screw?
Thank you for all of the help and great ideas. I will let the forum know how it works as we expect rain in the next few days.

Question for you. What exactly did you adjust?
  1. Door latch mechanism
  2. Striker on door jam
  3. Dove tail - door or jam
Thank you!

The striker on the door jamb. Above was correct it is a torx bit. I loosen the striker and moved it back in small increments until the door shut tight at the top.
