Rear hub questions?
While doing my tire rotation I noticed my rear passenger side had something all over it. I checked my diff fluid and it was full and clean. I also felt for play but didn't notice any. The leaky fluid obviously smells burnt as it is all over the rotors and pads. I am assuming that I need a new hub and nut but I was wondering if there is anything else that I might need? Also where is the best place to get a hub, new or used? Do I need one with a new sensor or can I use my sensor. I haven't had the three amigos in years since my last brake job but they have been turning on at random times for a couple of months. A few times recently they would come on when I started her. I tried searching the posts but I didn't find much. I did see where one guy said he bought a 25 dollar bottle of loctite and I was wondering what that was for. Please help me get my girl back on the road.
I would say your hub is bad and that is why the 3 Amigos is coming on.
You will need a new "O" ring too, that what goes between the hub and the axle.
Just do a Google search for hubs, get whatever you can afford.
