Default Rear License Plate Bracket / Barn Door panel removal

Hi All!!
I need to replace my rear license plate bracket but the screws are rusted, stripped etc. So I need to gain access through the barn door panel, I'm thinking through the rear speaker chamber?? Does that sound right, I'm trying to avoid removing the entire barn door panel if possible.

I have a new bracket being delivered tomorrow from AB but it won't do me any good until I can remove this busted bracket.
Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks -

Have you tried a screw extractor yet.

take a dremel w a cutting wheel, and cut a straight line through the top with out going all the way through, then use a flat head screw driver to remove, or drill the screw out and retap, also easy outs work.

Drill the old screws out and install new holders.
