Default rear lower longitudinal link

The weather is nice today and Im spending it under the Rover 97 D1.. I noticed some wear on the inside of my reartire after removing said tire I noticed the lower link was slightly bent upward... Has any one tried straightening this rod out or is it a replacement..??? Thanks, Otto

You talking about the bar that goes to the rear axle? I would replace it with a used one. You can probably straighten it, but heating/bending will weaken it...

Yes OK thats the one... I wasnt going to heat it . I thought maybe a couple of well placed blows with a 5 lb sledge might do the trick ...How bad is this working my far back u joint?

How far out of align is it? Might not hurt to try to beat it back, but I would sure replace it soon. Might get new bushings for the rear and do the whole set up while you are in there.

Its about 3/8 upward bow from bolt to bolt I got pb blaster on it now take it off tomorrow and give it some whacks.Its long enough to give a little..Let ya know ..... your right tho in the long run I gotta find a new one with bushing ... looking for one now.. TY OK
