Default Rear Passenger Turn Signal Light Occasionally Not Working

I seem to have encountered a wierd situation with my rear passenger turn signal occasionally not working. It has happened the past couple of times this month.

The first time that it happened, I checked the bulk. The bulb filament was actually in good shape. I popped the bulk out of the socket holder and cleaned out the contacts. Popped it back in and everything worked well.

It has happened again. The bulk appears to be in good condition. Just to be sure, I popped in a new replacement bulk. No joy.

Has anyone encountered such a situation? Just wondering what to check first?

P/S. I understand each rear turn signal is operated by a separate relay. I will try switching the relays to see if a faulty relay is an issue. Still a little dark outside. Will try and do this when I get some daylight in a few hours.

Check any earthling wire for a good ground, then replace the bulb regardless a it may be faulty you just can’t see it

I had this on my ‘00 and the issue was at the plug and a bad connection. However, the ‘03 is different and not in the bumper, so I’m not sure it could be the same issue.

I had a problem a few months ago where both my turn signals stopped working and it turned out a busted brake light bulb had caused the problem, so maybe it's possible that one of your brake lights isn't working or the bulb is on the way out.

A quick update... I finally got to work on this yesterday.... remove the turn signal bulb... not burnt out.... cleaned the contacts once more..... checked the brake light... also working.... cleaned out the contacts of the brake light socket... also inspected the connectors... contact nice and shiny.... popped everything back in..... turn signal works again. Weird!
