Default Rear windows dont work but motor and regulator is fine??

only 1 of my 4 windows work which is the front passenger. The drivers doesnt work since there is NO motor or regulator but the rears have motors and regulators that all work but they still dont open, if it was that main switch, then the passenger wouldnt work, any ideas?

On what model and year??????????????????????
You most likely have a failed circuit board in the body control module which can sometimes be repaired.

its a 98 Disco, but if the circuit board failed, than why would the passenger work? Also, how do I check for a bad circuit board?

Your window lift ECU is cracked, the circuit board gets cracks at the solder joints, AtalnticBritish sells a window lift ECU repair kit for like $15.
Or you can take the ECU out and re-solder the joints.

There are a lot of different pins that go to a lot of different places in the BCU that can fail. All the pins could be working fine on that thing and if one had a bit of corrosion or a short it could mess up say one window.

Whenever something fails on a DI if it is not a mechanical failure then it is a broken solder joint on the circuit board of a ECU somewhere.
The alarm spider and the window lift ECU are the two most common ones.

They crack due to age, thats the only downside to a DI, but once fixed it's all good again.
I just LOVE the simple as blueberry pie Discovery Series I.
