Default rear wiper motor

My rear wiper has slowed to only occasionally moving when I turn it on.
I used to be able to jump out and help it with a nudge to get it to return to home. Not anymore
Do I need a new motor or has anyone had success attempting to disassemble, lube and reinstall and have it operate again? or similar
~Thanks

Mine has also gone a bit 'lethargic' recently but I have stripped it down before and re-greased the internals. They are easy to remove and strip as it only takes an hour or so. I'll be joining your 'party' very soon. I think the lack of use during the hot, dry summer months causes them to 'retire'.

TIP. ease the rear doorcard out a small amount and spray the clips with silicon spray to make them easier to remove, leave them for 30 mins and they also don't break as much if at all. It's also easier and best to use doorcard plastic removal levers as they don't do paintwork damage also.
