Default rebuilding wondow regulator/motor

so when i put my motor on the new window regulator does it need to be in a specific position when i install it in relationship to the window or does it stop when it reaches the top and bottom of its travel automatically or does the motor need to be meshed with the gear on the regulator just so?

does this make sense?

Default RE: rebuilding wondow regulator/motor

I see what you are asking in regards to the mesh btwn the small motor gear and the half moon toothed gear on the regulator. In my experience I lined up the end of the regulator gear (full up) with the motor gear and hit the window switch to engage the gear teeth. (this was with the regulator in the car) It shouldnt really matter though.
