Just posting this as a heads-up for the SAI-inflicted masses:

Recently my second SAI pump (a used/salvaged part) went **** up, so I went web-cruising to see about another one. I found a user on Ebay that is selling a rebuilt SAI pump. He states that bearing are replaced and armature is re-surfaced. I installed the new pump a few days ago, and thought it didn't work; it was that quiet! It made me realize that when my last pump was "good," it was already en route to failure.

He asks you send him your core and even provides the pre-paid shipping label.
The part is warranted for 2 years.



TL/DR: ebay user "usedvolvosforsale" sells a reman. SAI pump for not much more than standard used part.

 

thanks for the info, got the check engine light on because mine has failed. ill give this a try.
