Default Recomendations About 2002 Discovery 2

My Name is Francisco Padilla from Cabo Rojo,Puerto Rico and I wants opinion from persons who have previous experience with 2001 - 2003 Discovery 2 4.0L V8. I'm not a compulsive buyer I'm will buy for Versatile for multiple uses. Since this vehicle introduce in the market one of my dreams is have a Land Rover Discovery 2 because I like the Body Style. I are a novice in this vehicles for that reason I suscribe to receive all inf. about this vehicles.

I'm a Offroad Follower and for Last 4 Months I think about to buy a 2001 - 2002 Discovery 2 Vehicle 4.0L to install 4 traction tires. snorkel. offroad lights and Offroad Roof Rack to use this vehicle to make offroad trails and daily use. The reason is my other vehicle is a 1997 GMC 4*4 Suburban with 95,000 miles and I like to use this vehicle for long trips
My dudes are various;
It's good for Daily and No Extreme Offroad.
Where is Possible to buy the compatible snorkel
If Possible to install a Ship to increase Gas Millage
I saw Camel Trophy and offroad videos in you tube about this vehicles and I consider amazing vehicle construction.
Please send me all information possible padillafrankie@gmail.com

Get the 2002 over the 2003. May be cheaper.
Engine may last longer.

2003 looks better in my opinion.
2003 can have oil pump issues.
2003 can have slipped liner issues MORE so than the 2002.

hello Frankie, the Discovery is a great truck, but it does take a lot of work to get it running and keep it running. I have never heard of a performance chip to help with better gas mileage. you may wish to look to rovers north, or atlantic british or lucky8 to find the snorkel. good luck and have fun with your project to find and equip your truck.

If you buy it do download the RAVE manual and do your own service. Only way to get the "best" mpg is to keep it in top running shape. Comprala y no te arrepentiras!
